The Ghost Writer
Can you get a film in the can when in 'the can'? That's what Andrew Warne attempts to discover as he taps into the scandal and intrigue of The Ghost Writer.
The latest film from acclaimed director Roman Polanski, The Ghost Writer is a taut political thriller that sees Ewan McGregor hired to pen the memoirs of Pierce Brosnan's Tony Blair-like character. It seems somebody forgot to mention that the previous writer died in mysterious circumstances... perhaps his researching skills were just a little too good?
Overshadowing all this is Polanski's mid-production arrest for a sexual assault case dating back to 1977. He was still detained during the film's publicity tour, so Andrew got the goods from McGregor and Brosnan.
