The Beaver

Jodie Foster reveals all about THE BEAVER, her latest project of passion which she directs and co-stars with close friend Mel Gibson.

Following the initial critical backlash from the US media, Andrew Warne finds out why Foster agrees it is a challenging film and a lot to ask audiences to take on given (in Foster's words) "the absurd concept", of a man using a hand puppet as a form of therapy and communication. But risks more than often reap rewards and movie-goings will definitely be rewarded with THE BEAVER.

Mel Gibson gives his bravest and best performance to date, and while there will be comparisions of Mel's character as a depressed, broken sole with his real life persona, Foster claims this only enhances his raw and honest performance.

Insidious

Andrew Warne ventures into the supernatural with SAW creators James Wan & Leigh Whannell. The Aussie filmmakers have now taken on the holy grail of the horror genre - the haunted house - in their latest film INSIDIOUS.

But as Andrew soon found out, these boys will do their utmost to flip the norm into the adnorm. A haunted house without the house? A car chase with no cars? Or what about about a film titled Ssssshhhhhh?.

Whatever it takes, these boys are having a great time letting their creative minds run amok while taking the US box office by storm. And there's nothing INSIDIOUS about that.
