Captain America: The First Avenger

Andrew Warne goes to battle with CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER. And we mean go to battle!

In one of Andrew's more challenging interviews, Chris Evans reveals why he was so reluctant to play the all American superhero. In fact he knocked back the role three times before he finally signed onto a six film contract! Perhaps he was concerned about his head being digitally attached to, let's say, the puny body of Steve Rogers, before he transforms into the buffed body of our First Avenger.

Evan's co-star Hayley Atwell sheds light on how they achieved the puny version of Chris, and also describes working with the very creepy Hugo Weaving, who developed and embodies Captain America's nemesis Red Skull at little too well. Hugo's a great baddie.

CAPTAIN AMERICA is an origin film and introduces us to Marvel's first superhero who was first published in 1941.  It kicks off a series of six films that bring the rock stars of Marvel Universe together, namely Thor, Iron Man, The Hulk and Captain America, in the upcoming film THE AVENGERS.

Hanna

Stories about developing the ultimate fighter or the perfect assassin often revolve around a burly male figure or a Bond/Bourne-type agent. But in the new thriller HANNA, the assassin is a 16 year old girl.

Saoirse Ronan reunites with her ATONEMENT director Joe Wright for this story that raises the sinister specter of human cloning and creepy clandestine operations. In fact it was Ronan who initially sourced the script and suggested Wright come on board as director.

Andrew Warne chats to the young Irish actor who describes the intrigue of this character and the grueling physical preparation for the training of the fight sequences with Eric Bana, who was obviously concerned about fighting against such a young girl. But Ronan holds her own, as does Cate Blanchett who plays a somewhat evil CIA operative - something Cate describes as a long awaited guilty pleasure.
