Dark Shadows (3D) Part 2

DARK SHADOWS fans continue to creep, well... out of the shadows! Michelle Pfieffer confesses she was equally obsessed as her co-star Johnny Depp, and would '"rush home from school" to watch the tv series when she was a child. She also admitted that her obsession was not simply a childhood one. During production Michelle would watch episode re-runs while in make-up, lunch breaks, actually any down time during the shoot, and claims they clocked up around 5 hours of DARK SHADOWS per day!

No surprise that when she got word that Tim Burton was adapting her favourite tv series into a feature film, she was on the phone asking her director of 20 years past ('Catwoman') for a role, any role. Michelle tells Andrew Warne the full story.

Andrew also caught up with the rest of the cast including Aussie actress Bella Heathcote, a recipient of The Heath Ledger Scholarship in 2010. Bella cut her teeth, as most young Aussies do, in 'Neighbours' before appearing with Justin Timberlake's IN TIME, and now Johnny Depp in DARK SHADOWS 3D. Intimidating? Just a little.

Hear her chat with Andrew Warne while Tim Burton, a long-time fan of Aussie actors, claims he cast Bella because she looked like she could have been reincarnated!

Dark Shadows 3D

Andrew Warne creeps into the DARK SHADOWS with Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. This is an adaptation of the gothic soap opera that aired on the ABC television network in America from 1966 - 1971. An incredible number of 1,225 episode were produced and aired during this period.

Director Tim Burton, Quentin Tarantino and Madonna have all publicly declared themselves as huge fans of the tv series, while Johnny Depp was so obsessed with the lead character (essentially the first incarnation of a vampire on screen) Barnabas Collins, he wanted to be him.

Well now, in what marks his eighth collaboration with Tim Burton, his childhood obsession has become a reality after approaching Burton to come onboard and adapt the cult tv series for the big screen.

Andrew Warne caught up with Hollywood's most successful filmmaking duo and, in the true tone of the film, tried to lure out their most dark inner secrets.
